Variance+Physicality=Playoff Success?

With 11 of the 12 Playoff series razor tight in the NHL & NBA, we try to identify the factors that will let us pick the winners. Plus some quick talk about Alcaraz, and Olivera's success this weekend.

Kicking off with BBall Storylines(04:40), we talk Luka's postplay and the shots it's creating the Mavericks, and Chris Paul fouling out in Dallas's win over Phoenix. The 76ers also even their series against the Heat on the back of some unstoppable play from Embiid and Houston Harden. On the eve of game 4 of the Warriors Grizzlies series we talk the physicality and injury scares particularly for Ja Morant. Wrapping up with Bucks Celtics we talk Giannis being the best player in the world, Tatum's recent woes, and the championship pedigree advantage the Bucks are showing.

Talkin' Hockey (22:47) we discuss the trends of powerplays seeming to decide games early so far in the first round of the NHL Playoffs that are featuring more penalties than usual, bigger blowout's than usual, yet still producing 7/8 tight series. Also admiring the playoff advantage experience is bringing to the Penguins, Capitals, and Bruins in series where they are outgunned on paper.
