Episode 7: Early Morning Coffee

In this early morning podcast we cover the best of NFL week 14 Sunday, UFC 256 and NBA preseason highlights

In Owen's NFL corner (0:40-12:59) he recaps all the important standout playoff games that occurred this past Sunday. Including Chiefs-Dolphins (01:00) Buccaneers-Vikings (02:33) Eagles-Saints (06:17) and the Bills-Steelers (07:04) plus some coverage of the crazy ending in the Western Michigan vs Ball State college football (04:11), and fantasy talk (11:18).

In Max's combat corner (13:00-41:42) he recaps UFC 256. Talking about Chase Hooper's crazy submission comeback (13:16), Gavin Tucker being the real deal and looking like a top contender (15:34). Rafael Fiziev's beautiful combo finish, and the questionable stoppage (17:46). Cyril Gane's stoppage over JDS (21:07) and some matchmaking based on the messy tight top of the heavyweight division. Kevin Holland's bizarre crazy from the bottom knockout against Jacare (26:14). The slugfest win Mackenzie Dern earned (28:35). Charles Olivera's first real signature win in the number one contender fight against Tony Ferguson (30:29) also what this says about how Khabib vs Tony would've gone. And the main event for the UFC Flyweight title between Deiveson Figuiredo and Brandon Moreno (36:24).

In our NBA talk (41:43-01:07:49) we finally get to talk about some Basketball games that happened. Starting with the Toronto Raptors (41:50), talking Kyle Lowry, Malachi Flynn, Matt Thomas and OG Annunoby. We also talk Charlotte Hornets and LaMelo Ball (49:59), as well as John Wall and the Houston Rockets (53:50) with questions about Demarcus Cousins, and James Harden . Ending off NBA preseason talk we got our first look at Kevin Durant's return with the Brooklyn Nets (56:37), as well as Kyrie Irving's latest public image controversy after his "Pawn" comment. Lastly Owen continues his NBA 2021 Draft prospect coverage (01:03:46) talking Scotty Barnes, Cade Cunningham as well as female rookie Paige Bueckers.
